I've done numerous virus and spyware checks. Nothing is showing up. So I assume that my personal files are free of infection.

I've allowed and disallowed PCME. No difference.
The situation is that my problem has recurred (before I tried allowing or disallowing PCME). So once again altavista is out of reach.
