I use it often. to recover missing files. Very easy to use and makes work easier.
I magine if u had to re-install your windoz every time u get a missing .vxd file error message

Its definetly not the processor.
I think this has nothing to do with hardware, and its more of a s/w problem
Just re-install ur OS and hopefuly u will be ok.
