    You know, I think you can do the same thing with XP, it still has explorer.exe in /WINDOWS, I don't realy know though, haven't tried it myself.. .

    For your third question, you can use a hex editor...

    For your third question, you can use a hex editor to change some of the things in explorer.exe, there are some limitations, like you can't change the size of the file so you could change the 'start'...
