Hmmm. Better compile away - I'm sitting on nmap 4.0.3.
And yay for the "l33t ascii art"... I'm one of the lucky few :)

Got it compiled on OS X. It seems a lot faster than ethereal.

Heh, obviously not. It survived a digging and a slashdotting though. More than some servers.

This thread seems to really bring out the trolls and flames... gee, I wonder why...
I'm a mac user myself, I am certainly glad I'm not on windows.

There's a built-in zip utility IN mac os x. Double-click on archives to expand, control-click and select "create archive of "..."" to make.

Let's make a huge deal out of this and treat it like it's the end of the world!
It works for symantec on a problem that doesn't even exist - the Mac OS X virus.

Yeah. That's like the non-existant Mac virus, but you have to give that an admin password too. But then again, the majority of windows users are stupid. Or at least the majority I come into contact...

What if you were to mount the FAT filesystem in linux and mkdir con, then boot into windows What would that do?

OOps... flaws found? I meant flaws patched. Damn that just made me look stupid... :S
They're saying that there have been more flaws found and patched for Mozilla than IE.
I really should read...

Symantec based this on flaws found though. That doesn't exactly work comparing opensource to proprietry.
Of course there's going to be less found in IE if you can't see the source code!
October 6th, 2005, 08:22 AM
Damn! That would suck...
I'd say it's the second option - make more money.
At least nmap remains free.
Maybe Fyodor would stop letting them use nmap to shake things up...

Apparently I hear the SL-5600 has these problems fixed - the battery life is better and the unit doesn't lag as much. Those problems remind me of the Palm LifeDrive.
I thought Palm had been...

This was originally accidentially posted in "Roll Call" by mistake - I had a whole heap of tabs open and thinking one was redundant, closed it and used the wrong one to post. Had I not been tired and...

Whoops, wrong forum. Sorry.
Anyway, I am a mac user, interested in security. I am learning how to use all the real tools like ettercap, ethereal, nmap and kismac to do various things with.
