If you want to verify your ports are stealth or not visit www.pcflank.com run there standard test
the stealth and advanced tests to make sure your firewall is blocking everything.

Windows 98 has very poor security, at best.
Windows 2000 is much more secure...

Yes Linux is a really powerful operating system I'd suggest downloading and printing
the small stuff first for basic commands getting around the system so you aren't
intimidated...
