It seems it shouldn't have to work that way since it is on the same network, otherwise all pcs on a network would have to have the same login to share files.

I just installed Hamachi and can connect from my laptop to my desktop into my non-passworded account. When I try to browse my laptop I get this login:

i'm using the the actual name of the box which is \\deepthought. \\deepthought\ipc$ seems to be the drive (correct?) So "net use \\deepthought\ip$" connects me succesfully acording to the Computer...

stil no dice. I'm trying it on my pc and all methods are coming up the same. Is it just because the drive itself isn't being shared? Does this mean that the rest of my drive is totally secure then?

The box on my network doesn't belong to me. But on my own computer i only have one user, the administrator. Using "\\computername\c$" on my own box while logged into that account doesn't seem to...
