Sometimes a keyboard reseat helps. Do you have another Ispiron you could swap keyboards with to test? We've had cases in the past where they've had replace the system board to fix the problem.

The corporate CDs are usually just for use inside a business and you pay a site license fee for how many computers you use it on.

As Katja said reducing the burning speed ususally helps also a lot of burning software has an option to turn on Buffer Underrun Protection which allows the software to manage the speed.
