Well, the first thing that springs to mind is the DEP of Windows messing things up. It's been known to have caused problems before with Ghost.

I wouldn't dismiss it yet though, if you're gonna host a bunch of vms, I think the VC would benefit you in the long run.
Also, what SLA's would you offer your users, what about backup, you'll need...

Starting from Workstation 5 (I think) the commit is changed (or altered) to delete, the snapshots now merge automatically when you delete one... This can be a good thing, but also a bad thing :)

No dual boot, also use VMWare on Windows or Linux, and Parallels for mac, running an XP. Serves my purpose just fine.
