well, im running RedHat9 on an AMD Duron 1400 with ATI radeon 7000, 256MB RAM, and 80GB hard disk

if you need cmd.exe just use the one from your own system
use it to some website, and in school you download it from the website.
Works perfect, thats also the way i got regedit and commands they...

Im not sure if this is true, but i read once that a LLF could also "fix" bad clusters/sectors.
But i got that info from a dark colord site, maybe there is someone who can verify that.

i dont think you can order laptop/notebook motherboards somewhere.
I think you just gotta be nice to the people over at Toshiba, since they are the only ones that can help you get a new motherboard.

for testing your RAM modules i would suggest using memtest86
