I've found the spyware you were after, it's easy enough to remove though if you have adaware, that's what I used.

I had a run in with this piece of spyware only yesterday on one of my PC's, (mainly used by my sister and her mates, you can imagine what condition it gets in) unfortunately I didn't hang on to it...

99% of the time it's explorer.exe that's preventing you from deleting it. To fix it open a command prompt (start-run-cmd) then open task manager while the command prompt is still open and close...

I don't know about linux but on my XP box I've found out that the ident port is used by instant messaging programs like icq and msn. Close those and try again, that worked for me. :)

If you are using internet connection sharing (only one PC is directly connected to the internet) then put a firewall like zonealarm on the gateway pc and and put the other pc in its trusted computers...
