Well it isn't just with that one person, it happens to EVERYONE i ever talk to using aim. No matter which screename i instant message, he always knows exactly what im saying.

I'm not really a newbie, in fact, i think i know quite a bit about computer security, but this one incident just isn't making sense...

Yesterday I was talking to a friend on aim to try to help him...

Anyone ever heard of the gspotbot.exe trojan, i discovered this file on my system and it looked like a trojan. I did some reasearch on the internet and i found that it compromises security settings....

yeah i get a lot of those too... I dont understand why though... Do they jsut automatically assume everybody has a small penis? lol :)

O.K. Heres my story, i did a portscan on myself(more out of boredom than looking for anything) and i found port 3700 open. After some research I discovered that this is aport used by some trojan...

What i'm worried about is what if it doesn't stop here, what if they try to stop everything going on on the internet that they don't want. Call me stupid, but i think you should be able to do...

But the answer to my original question... is it possible to find out what people are doing on there computers without having some sort of trojan or sniffer or something like that installed installed...

So its not possible to see what you are doing on your computer unless there is some software installed on that computer?

i did all that but spybot...so i guess i'll give it a try

but wouldn't you kinda need to connect to my computer to view the packets?

That could be it, can you point me to a place where i could find useful information on this?
