If I may ask, what 64bit operating system did you install??? And the trial version you got was it a beta release or a finall version with limited time or functions???
I have used Knoppix and its working very well.
Its very easy to use, and contains good features. And I would rate it as the best "live CD" linux distribution available, as Distrowatch did ;)

i get that message that i have to be a registered user to do so.
