Does anyone know of a good packet based filter for XP?
Something like iptables where you just specify ports, ips, and direction.
The commercial personal firewalls have all that application...

According to CISSP cert info., honeypots are legal. Honepots are used for enticement, which is not illegal.
Anything used for entrapment, such as a user clicking on a link but actaully downloads...

I understand that you can change the mac address. I estimate that in my environment 1 out of 5 Routers installed might spoof the mac. I'd like to expose 2 or 3 people and make examples out of them....

In my situation, 99.9% of the computers that are in use on the network are windows machines. I could scan with nmap or languard and which ever one pops up with something other that...

Lets assume that the router isn't cloning the computer's MAC and the user isn't changing the MAC on the router.

Hey,
I'd like to be able to scan my network and detect if any has plugged in a router (against policy).
I can login to the switch and view the mac addresses, but I haven't been successful in...
