Thanks, I'll check out the links. And yeah I was thinking the only way to kill this was to slave the drive or boot into a PEBuilder type disk.

So, just to state this, I am no infosec expert. I work as a sysadmin (windows obviously). I've been dealing with malware for a long time and a few years ago I noticed the game has definitely...
I just had a user that was locked out and the domain was cached, he could login but kept getting all many of issues with mapped drives, etc. Once the account was reset and he changed his password it...

Cool, I'll give that a run
Yeah, if you point the VirtualBox "harddrive" to the vmdk file when you create a new virtual machine, it should run VMWare images. I've had one that was flagged as...

True, but it has saved my bacon on so many PCs compared to the few that have had virus/malware infections, that I swear by it. Of course all those restore points go away when you have to disable it...

I've gotten very paranoid about what I do online. I've never done anything illegal, but definitely embarrassing:halo::D.
I think that the authors of this OS have the right idea in their hearts,...

By "seeing" do you mean ping or browse? Or either/both? I remember having some issues with my mixed network at first and having to go through a few things.
Under the Mac settings, do you have the...

I still use Safari on my Macs out of habit.
I use IE6(still haven't gone to 7) rarely, since there are sites/apps I use that use ActiveX.
Mostly I use FF on Win and Linux, although it is...

Don't know if you are starting from scratch, but life was a lot easier for me when I realized I should install Ubuntu last. Grub picks up all installations. Windows will rewrite the MBR and you won't...

I'm a little rusty, been a year or two since I've done any web design, but here's where I started:
You can use the online editors they have to practice and they have a...
