Antivirus is dead. Signature based solutions are practically worthless. In addition to layering (as mentioned) you need to be looking at solutions that prevent the issue vs detecting.

You need to edit the arp.c source. There is a function arp_cache_lookup that won't use the correct interface. So in arp.c you need to change:

Its, kind of a pain if you have programs that require alot of updates.
