Suppose somebody accesses my system thru the netbios hack/exploit, will there be any log of this? like loging the ip address, date, time or something.

My firewall had picked up 7-8 attacks from 1 single computer which was also from the same ISP i have. It was infact from the same subnet.

umm i dont think IE is the problem since i cant view the thumbnail image in windows explorer.

I dont know how but on my win98 comp i wasn't able to see the thumbnail view of jpeg/jpg files but could see the thumbnails of bmps/gifs/html etc (View as web-page was enabled in Explorer)
