Try updating sound card drivers.. Also some IRQ mess up can also be not ruled out (As pointed out by HTRegz and Showtime8000)..

Apart from trying this Adware/Spyware removal stuff, i would suggest u start using MOZILLA Web Browser..it has got built in pop up blockage capability... IE is COLD... :o
