If I remember correctly can't you set custom filters in NT so that it's logged into categories? I know it's a hassle to trudge through logs and set filters but unless you want to pay $500-$2000 on...

I've never used bsd but I've used windows and linux and I know from experience that you have to be really careful or you could really screw up you're computer and monitor.

it could be anything from improper internet settings to a corrupt registry. hopefully the former. Double check the settings for both network connections, internet, and browser. Hope that helps.
