    Lightbulb N.T infrared???

    Question??
If you were running windows N.T/2000
Had a infrared keyboard and mouse,
    What insecurities are there??

All i could imagine is capturing "Keystrokes"
Any other things there to look out for??

Considering infra red needs a line of sight, ie: the 2 devices communicating via infra red must be able to "see" each other i'd say you should be ok - keep an eye open for anybody pointing an infra red device in your direction!!

    infra red

    Info,
other than the IRDA problem with MS products, its secure.
there is a patch for it, if you are that unsure of using it info.
    www.microsoft.com/security
just go there and go to the bulletin section for the patch.
Like Pete said..it is line of sight, so someone would have to be awfully close.

Thanks for the help guy's !!

So if somebody was within range they could possibly capture the info by infrared???? or just disrupt communications to the p.c and keyboard??

The person who had the problem told me that most infrared signals were the same in all keyboards and same brand mice??
