    Cool

Hmm.. i havent heard of TCP DUMP b4 but based on my networking experience (since ive been a network admin for almost a year now) one way we can monitor the TCP/IP statistics over a network is by using SNMP or Simple Network Managment Protocol.

What we do is install SNMP Manager in the server and install SNMP Agents to the workstations.. the agents then store data about themselves in the MIB( not Men In Black as your first thought would be but it stands for Management Information Bases) and send them back to the SNMP Manager which is the server..

from there we can see what the heck is happening to the workstations and what are its tcp/ip stats.

If you just want local-computer statistics for a 9x computer, like bytes/second transmitted/recieved, or frames per second, CRC errors, etc... Just run sysmon.exe, it should be in your c:\windows\ or c:\windows\system\ folders, I believe.

Or, if you want to monitor the packets and **** going through the network.... get a sniffer.. it could be a software or a pheriperal..

i use both.. i have a gadget that snifs shits for me.. and i also have a software which makes my workstation a sinffer too...

WinDump is the Windows port of TCPDump.

    A good one ...

... is CommView. It does stats and puts them into pretty pie-chart-pictures for the management types to understand.

I too would recommend Ethereal...It is a very powerful sniffer that can do a lot more than TCPdump although there is something to be said for simplicity at times.

There is also lcrzoex, which is text mode like windump.

It is available for Linux, Windows, xBSD, Solaris.
    Read documentation available at :
    http://www.laurentconstantin.com/com.../examples.html
Tools 7, 274, etc. can help you.

    Lcrzoex is at :

I would reccomend that someone learn to use a search engine before trying posting a question like, "Is there TCP Dump for Windows?" because chances are you'll not figure out how to use it if you can even find it.
