    Try this link.

I have NOT tried this software, so I can't guarantee it. Now, if your company has an internet access log on their server, you're going to have to fess up, because you won't be able to get rid of it without administrative priveleges. The best thing you can do right now is go to the administrator and tell him/her what happened. Nobody raises a fuss about things like that. It happens.

If this is a machine your company has given your mom to keep at home, you probably won't have to fess up, but be prepared to anyway. Some companies do look through the access logs from the ISP, but I think you will find that they won't.

    What browser did AIM load??
    For internet explorer, Just clicking
Tools, Internet Options, and then Clear History will do the job.
    For netscape, Click
    Edit, Preferences, Clear Location Bar
    will get rid of them.

For netscape if you want to completely clean it:
    delete netscape.hst
    delete cookies.txt
delete the entire contents of the folder Cache
    clear the location bar.

You may also want to kill the cookies.txt file for netscape.
In IE I believe that cookies are included in
    "Temporary Internet Files"

8trak: Internet Explorer keeps a history of URLs you have been to for autocomplete purposes. Simply cleaning your history, cookies, and temporary internet files will not get rid of them.

If you are using IE, history has to be deleted in DOS as well. You can download programs that will do this for you such as Window Washer or Evidence Eliminator. Or, just do it yourself...

    deltree c:\windows\history

    deltree c:\windows\tempor~1

It can take anywhere up to 15minutes to delete if you haven't done it before.

If using Netscape it's a good idea to delete the netscape.hst file every now and then. For some strange reason, if this file gets too large the browser has a tendancy to lock up.

Opera has a "delete all private data" option under file..

Okay, I assume you have IE... Go to TOOLS -> INTENET OPTIONS, and click the CONTENT tab (the things across the top). Then the third button from the bottom labeled "AUTOCOMPLETE". Then a box will pop up, and you should click CLEAR FORMS.

At any rate, that will clear some of the stuff that the Cache deletion and History deletion won't get rid of. That's for if you start typing some letters on a search engine, and it comes up with a bunch of previous searches beginning in anything with those letters inside the box.
