I've heard that some parts of these cookbooks, and sometimes the whole things, are sometimes 'jokes'... Some of the formulas aren't possible, and other projects are intentionally written down in such a way that doing them could lead to a very serious accident happening to the person mixing and lighting the stuff.

Basically, I wouldn't trust any of it to the extent of actually following the instructions. I'd check it out with a chemistry major or something.

well, i can vouch for some stuff in the books that are around on the net...but you have to be very carefull when dealing with the stuff. take safty way more seriously then they do. any "bomb" formula that ends with "can be thrown to detinate" was written by a 12 year old watching GIJoe.

just as a side note, i made a potato cannon(BTW, these ARE illegal in most states AFAIK and the following is VERY illegal in every state) that used the equivilant of home made black powder and launched the potato with an muzzel velocity of over 800 mph(aproximated from video tape; between the frame directly before the canon was fired and the next frame the potato cleared the entire screen...not even a blur behind, just some smoke)

the napalm recipe, red lawnmower oil and dense styrofoam. a friend of mine tried that and said it worked. i didn't see it myself but i think he'd have managed to make it work. he's still got some of it dried up on his ruler , lol. pyro,lol.

Im going to let you in on a little secret. The books you are asking about where made by x military and goverment personnel, and some of the formuals are legit and some are not. for instance the tempatures these highly explosive bombs in there are off. If you attempt to make it, you will be with less body parts than you started with. You dont have to take my word for it, But I spent 7 years working with exposives and I also possess a Hazmat Certification in this feild. The army does have some Feild Manuals (FM) that you can aguire that are legit **** but unless you are in the military they are hard to come by.







Just remember this one rule if it says HE for what you are wanting to make in the book the formual is not the real thing.
