Windows XP Pro & MSN Messenger
Does anyone know how to remove Messenger from Windows XP Professional?
Any help would be appreciated....

Any easy way I found to disable it (hotmail starts it, so do other ms apps) just rename the exe file to something it can't find.
msmsgs.exe -> msmsgs2.exe
At least it won't start all the time, gets annoying to me. As far as a clean uninstall, ms might have hooked it into the OS, so there is no easy uninstall script setup for it

Hi Matty Cross,
Here is a method that I would suggest :
a) insert Linux iso CD
b) restart system, stopping in BIOS to ensure that the 1st bootable device is the CD-ROM
c) follow instructions, reading available help files where needed
d) reboot
MSN messanger successfully removed! yeah
Just kidding, hope you figure it out.

Thats my solutionf for my windows problems in about 3 weeks....
I can't do that now, coz I have to finish of my studies, which are all run on Windows... craptastic
In three weeks though... hehehe
