What do you think about paying to hackers for destroying porno-sites?
What do you think about paying to hackers for destroying porno-sites?
I think it is the real way to defend our children from porno-industry. Some years back in Italy the Catholic radio station "Ave Maria" used this way to fight with pornography. There were many porno-sites destroyed. But after some months that struggle stop.
Now here is one interesting site http://www.hackersagainstporno.f2s.com It's an organization that pays to hackers from donations.

I've taken a look at the site, and call me paranoid, but does this look like something suspicious?
Honeypot?

i believe that pornography is a freedom of speech, and it shouldn't be taken away just because some people disagree with it,
it would be like taking away gay rights (couldn't think of anything else) or the freedom of protest against the government, to put it in perspective
\"I am convinced that societies which live without government enjoy an infinitely greater degree of happiness than those who do.\" Thomas Jefferson

If you want to "defend" your children from the pornography industry, get a web filter program. Paying hackers to destroy websites puts you below their level. "I don't like the subject matter", or "I don't agree" is NEVER an excuse to hack somebody. Just because you don't like it is no reason to deny other people from it (no, I'm not a porn addict).

Just a thought
In my opinion hacking porn sites for the sake of it being a porn site is not a good idea. We're all born naked. If someone wants to be in pornography maybe it's their choice. It's also your choice not to look at it if you don't want to. To each their own.

FAMILY VALUES?!?!!?
You say family values are important, but hacking porn sites does not defend family values. First of all, hacking porn sites attacks the foundation that our country was built upon. Freedom of sppech, freedom of choice.... freedom in general. Secondly, you wanna defend family values, block your kids from the porn.... netnanny or such. But don't stop there.... don't let them watch violent television, don't let them listen to violent music. if you find it offensive, don't look at it. but don't tell other people what they can and can't view. Family values have already gone down the tubes. But censorship is not the answer. The answer is parents sitting down with their children and teaching the good morals, monitoring the things their children partake of. it is not the job of other people to decide what is right for one person. that is not freedom.
