    Cool Computer Games

After a recent thread about my avatar, it got kinda off topic with discussion of Winamp Skins and Game maps...

Just wondered if anyone else makes maps for things like the Command & Conquer series, Unreal Tournament or anything like that...??

Hmm... Depends what you're skinning or making maps for...

For Red Alert 2 maps, visit www.westwood.ea.com and download Final Alert 2

It allows you to design maps for Command & Conquer Red Alert 2

There's also FinalSun for Tiberian Sun (I think its called FinalSun but I'm not sure) which is available from www.sunedit2k.com

And for Winamp, just go to Winamp.com, click the Skins seciotn then click the link about making your own...

I'd recommend a good graphics package (In windows, that'd have to be something like Paint Shop Pro 7, or adobe photoshop) or the GIMP in Linux !!

[Preferabbly the latter, failing that, Photoshop, failing that, PSP]

Btw. The Gimp is free (as far as I know?) so if you've got Linux it's probabyl your best bet.

All you need after that is to be able to perform basic image editing stuff, and to have a sense of art and whether something looks good or not!!!
