So...if I've read your post correctly, you are starting to write a newbie FAQ that other people actually write?

You'll be getting a job offer from Micro$oft shortly! They love that kind of stuff.......rofl

    Not quite..

See, I do not have all the knowledge a neophyte will need.. I offered InfoDelia Culture as the library, but you guys add the pages to the books..

Neophytes are thirsty for knowledge.. So help them.

Hmm a ploy to get people to the board perhaps. Simply ask the people here to join and they will, no need for the whole post sometime a neophythe mite find helpful.

    Lightbulb NBTSTAT Commands

well, here's a start. i'm going to list nbtstat commands:

Displays protocol statistics and current TCP/IP connections using NBT (NetBIOS over TCP/IP).

    NBTSTAT
    [-a RemoteName] [-A IP address] [-c] [-n] [-r] [-R] [-s] [-S] [interval] ]

-a (adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its name

-A (Adapter status) Lists the remote machine's name table given its IP address.

-c (cache) Lists the remote name cache including the IP addresses

-n (names) Lists local NetBIOS names.

-r (resolved) Lists names resolved by broadcast and via WINS

-R (Reload) Purges and reloads the remote cache name table

-S (Sessions) Lists sessions table with the destination IP addresses
-s (sessions) Lists sessions table converting destination IP
addresses to host names via the hosts file.
    RemoteName
    Remote host machine name.
IP address Dotted decimal representation of the IP address.
    interval
Redisplays selected statistics, pausing interval seconds
between each display. Press Ctrl+C to stop redisplaying statistics.

Sorry evilseed, but this is a lame idea, but before you get pissed off at least here my reasoning for feeling that way.

Hacking (good, bad, or ugly) takes hours, hundreds if not thousands of hours of reading and practice to develop any ability beyond lamers and script kiddies. There is a huge amount of stuff to know about OS's and security measures. Protocols, networking, crypto, commands, programming languages, routers etc.. etc.. etc.. ( obscure modem commands )

Reason number 2 is that it isn't something you can just spoon feed to someone. Anyone that wants to be a `hacker' must first develop the patience to read like a mother *****er and have the info retention ability to remember a lot of it.

Anyway, I can see you have good intentions, but not everyone who wants to be a hacker is going to make it, 98% of becoming one is left up to that person no matter how many tut's you throw at them.
