Question URGENT!! Need help with virus files.

Alright, I really need help on this.
See I have some files and they're infected with a trojan and I already tried to quarintine the files using Norton antivirus (lol) and that didn't work. So then I tried to delete the files just going to my computer and deleting them. !Access Denied! What a load of crap. So I need some help on how to delete the files infected. The files go as:
    C:\_RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS77.CAB
    C:\_RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS83.CAB
    C:\_RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS84.CAB
but nooooo I cant delete them. Please help me. I'd really apreciate it.

You have to disable system restore. I assume you're using Windows ME.

Right click on my computer, click on properties/performance/file system/troubleshooting than put a check in the box "Disable system restore"..

If Windows still wont let you delete the file I know of a deletion tool that will. It's called BC Wipe and you can download it here...

If that doesn't work you may have to uninstal System Restore. It's not very hard ( a few registry edits) and away you go. I'm sure you'll find all the info you need on uninstalling System Restore at Mr Google

I've had the same problem before. Try scanning it again, because it might be a false-positive.

    Thumbs up

Do you REALLY want to delete those files?
If so, boot DOS from a floppy disk and
    DEL <FILENAME>
    These damn modern operating systems!
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Remove those pesky
    file attributes first.
    ATTRIB -R -S -H
Use the latest (win98) dos version.
ME users were robbed of a real mode msdos.
Use a standard win98 rescue disk
or make your own and copy all of the useful
dos utilities from the windows\command directory.
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.
