Nmap for Windows
is there any tools for windows like Nmap for linux...
i was told there was a beta Nmap for NT. and i run xp. so i d/l
it , but it wouldnt run.. so i am out in search for something as
close to it as i can get for windows..Thanx

well yeah there is.. as a matter of fact its a wonderful tool..
its called IP Tools.. and you can download it on www.firewall.cx
i mainly use it to administer my network and it works very well.. im quite impressed really.

i hv been using this LANguard Network Scanner & Port scanner from GFi, and its free. works on all win...

there is also one software in www.firewall.cx which is also a favourite of mine.. its called IRIS... its a packet analyzer.. it analyzes the packets goin in and out ur network/PC and gives u details about dem.. like where its from ( Ip address of the sender), what protocol its using,.. etc etc...
