    1. Pour wine into glass
    2. Pick up glass
    3. Bring glass to lips
    4. Pour liquid into mouth
    5. Swallow (If "wine tasting", do not swallow, goto step 12)

Wine isn't something you have to run, it is just there to run windows programs whenever one is called by using ./file.exe or clicking on it in the GUI.

If you have a copy of windows on your system, the default config just needs simple modifications. If you do not have a copy of windows, you must simulate the file structure by creating a directory /c /c/windows /c/windows/system... Then it is just a matter of replacing the default config values with these. Afterwards you can just run wine with the desired application as an argument.

Copy your .wine, wherever it is, into the home/usr/ directory.

Sorry for double-post, but also you could change the config to look in a different directory for it instead of /home/username/.wine

try winex, it realy does rock!!!

and u can get it for free...
(just have to do some cvs crapp to get it to work)

and just go to the directory of the windows file and type: wine file.exe (the .exe is not even neccessary)
