Help! My cable modem isn't working

Damn....another tech support guru has spoken those famous words"It doesn't seem to be our issue..you need to format and reinstall" rotflmao@stupidtechreps

I'm only laughing because when I worked for dell the favorite statement of new tech reps was"you need to format your hardrive and reinstall your OS" format c: and call us back....hehe

I know it's an "i dunno" sort of solution, but I actually wanted to do a format anyway, and just needed a reason.
