US hackers could face life sentences
Read the article here .
What do you think?
Personally I think it won't do a bit of good because the type of people this is aimed at catching will pay absolutely no attention to it. They think they are too good at what they to get caught and the most dangerous probably are. So more than likely the small fry will suffer while the big fish will get away.
P.s. I'm not saying that any malacious hacker should get off scot free but life in prison seems a bit harsh as many are young enough to reform given the chance (rebellious teenagers maybe). Also the people that will catch them are probably reformed hackers themselves and why do they think they should get a second chance and not the current crop.
