    note: when you are placing the cables, make sure not to make 'sharp' corners with the cable, you can easily slightly damage the CAT5 cable (this will decrease stability and speed).

    hey, i'm not new to networks so i figured hooking up 2pcs would be simple cuz i've done it heaps b4. i have winXP and just set up a 98 box yesterday.
    i've done everything as per normal but it doesn't seem to work.
    i assigned private address's and put both users on the same workgroup. each computer can see themselfs but not the other.
    i have no idea where i've gone wrong, double checked everything and donno what ta do.
    ne1 able to offer advice?
