i dont know if this will help but i thought i should put it here:
- goto desktop, and right click, and chose properties from the menu
- click on the effects tab.
- the first field will be about desktop icons
- change the icons as u like.

Check my post on .bat and .reg files it should contain the CLISD code for the recycle bin - just go in using regedit and check that both string values are set correctly for empty and full...

Trash bin
On my XP pro sys is doing the same thing...the trash icon is full but the trash 'has been taken out'. Me personally I could care less...if I'm not wasting mg's or kb's my trash icon can hola dance for all I care. However I think I am going to try some of the advice given to see if the icon problem gets rectified. I'll drop back with whatever works.
