    Cool Dead Man's Switch

If you're paranoid, this may be of interest.

A bit of software to send out that last all revealing email, destroy the porn you've been hiding for years and encrypt your files:

    Dead Man's Switch

this sounded real interesting.. i was wondering if you had used any of the other aps that this site offered..i tend to be suspicious of using random programs offline though..i am always paranoid that it comes with "extra goodies" that i might not be so happy to have on my computer.

    Destined,

No, I haven't tried any of the software they list yet ... I just came across the site yesterday and liked the concept of the dead man's switch.

I know the feeling of not wanting to install any kind of random bits of code when you don't know who wrote it and what might be hidden in it. I think I'm going to install DeepFreeze one of these days to be able to tinker with stuff and restore my config afterwards.

I can see using the switch very soon...lol. Perhaps a port to linux would help. A final message to my friends(yeah right, I dont have any) and family.

"Mother, Father, I know your dissappointment in me was great, however I hope that you find it in your hearts to forgive me now. Angela, I always loved you however I never had it in my heart to tell you, I hope that John can make you happier than you ever would have been with me. To my creditors, **** YOU, Im dead now...hahahahaha. And to everyone on AntiOnline, I have found the secret to curing my never ending pain. Death."

    Umbobo: Nice sig

But you know, it would be fairly easy to do a similar thing with some nice *nix cron jobs, etc...
