Anyone can help me, I would like to know why I am having so many trojan attacks lately.

What exactly do you mean by 'trojan attacks'? Be more specific, what exactly is the problem, what OS are you running (Windows, Linux etc.)?

hmmm.. everyone is constantly being attacked one way or another.. its just a matter of protecting yourself from these attacks.. thats what this site is for..

First you need to run a virus scan to see if there is any there and next If you are running on a cable modem renew your IP this will remove you from the situation all together or just dissconnect cable from wall and wait 4 hours (4 hours is default time for IP to refresh if no connection is found) New DNS name wouldnt be bad. skip all this and get a firewall, but if you allready have a firewall then dont be to worried. also you could get this tool called IP-tool that monitors your sonnections and tells you all connections in and out with connecting IP Cnet has some good tools there for free. If someone is connected to your computer atleast you will know. Before I got my router I was getting pinged and probed and all that, So its not too uncomman to see this. also note that some web servers do there own probes on your system too.

Figure out what uve been doing more of lately. If you've been on IRC for years but just started going to #Imavictim then stop going to #Imavictim and see if you stop having problems. I very much doubt theres no reason for the increase in attacks, examine your routine.

I am sorry if I disturbed someone but I am quite new to all this. I have never been to another chat but paltalk and yahoo messenger. I have Norton 2002 firewall and antivirus, but sort of Subseven got into my comp and a friend of mine reinstalled all, but could not tell me how it got in. I am running Windows XP. I have Trojan check installed too, but it did not report anything and later on two trojans were found. I wonder what they could do and was it deliberate. Since then Norton has blocked and reported me of another trojan attacks, almost every day. Thank you for helping. Even we that are new to internet should find a way to protect ourselves.

I use the Norton 2002 Personal Firewall also, and I get sub/seven alerts all the time. Getting the alerts is actually a good thing. It lets you know your firewall is working. If you're getting alerts it means the trojans are being blocked. You should be very careful about opening e-mails from people you don't know, and downloading programs off the Internet. I believe these are also two ways trojans can find their way onto your computer. I make a practice of scanning everything I download with Norton Anti-Virus. You may want to visit the Symantec web site at http://www,symantec.com They offer a free security scan. Steve Gibson's web site www.grc.com also offers a security scan, and it has a lot of other info about security and computers. Oh, and make sure you check the newbie questions and tutorials section on this site for a lot of great info.
