    nah, haven't downloaded enough porn. lol.. in reply to CDRE's post, I can't upgrade the browser cuz I can't even surf the web. I did install Netscape but same thing.. (just did this today). Still having the same problem.. Dunno what else to do.

    If you're using IE, check the security or content advisor.
    If the setting are too high, they won't let you do anything in IE.
    Come to think of it, though, that would only be affecting websites, not AIM.

    Try going to Phaster (http://216.71.189.128/find_info_net_traffic.html) And use the IP lookup tool, it will be a temporary solution for you to browse some sites

    Are you running a firewall that locks out connections of certain programs?
    Zonealarm is famous for having this option and it kinda sounds like that could be the problem....
    If it's your little cousin's computer, does it have NetNanny or CyberPatrol?

    Check to see how many programs are running in the background, and turn them off, one by one....

    There might be a program conflict in Windows that is not present during a DOS session.

    Hope something works.....
