Question This ever happen to you guys?

Occasionally when I log onto this site, and begin typing, the text turns to all caps. Not like the caps button is on, but like the shift button is being help down (for example 1234 would come out as !@#$ ). It won't go away until after I restart my comp. Could it be that someone is ****ing with me? Its really a pain in the ass. Any help would be appreciated!

Well, a few things you can try:

    1) Do a virus scan.
    2) Clean your keyboard. Its possible that the Shift key is just getting stuck.
    3) Try other sites to see if you have the same problem.

    Hope it helps a little...

did you spill anything in your keyboard? I once spilled Ramen in my key board and it would double type everything I typed in. Switch out your board and see if that helps.

Dishwasher + Keyboard + Blowdrier makes for a good keyboard. And for once, I am not just being stupid. This is actually how I clean my keyboards.

i had a keyboard once that let you program macros....like i could make the "s" key print "jabberwocky is cool." once and a while it would randomly remap itself and all of my letters would be in different places.

anyway, if you have some fancy keyboard you might have a feature you don't know about. when all else fails, read the manual

I had a laptop once that the keys would constantly stick, sometimes they didn't even work at all. If I banged on the keyboard in a certain place they would come back to life. I finally wound up having to send it back......

probobly obvious but..... try another keyboard

heh like at my uni half the keyboards have a faulty E key - and as it is the most used letter in the english language (which prolly also explains why it always seemed t be the E key) it was so annoying to type with.....usually I just change computers but one time I actually had to paste every E i needed as there were no other computers free and i really needed to send a couple of emails - lucky i didn't have a disertation or something to write

Could be the drivers that are installed for the keyboard (if it ain't the sticky keyboard thing)

side note: what else makes a keyboard sticky? (too much porn?)

Anyways, there might be a program that (for some reason) is writing to your keyboard drivers, changing it? Besides that, hum...... don't know.... bad cookies? (nah)
