    tssg.exe , mssg.exe , ffren .exe

    hi guys
    need some serious help here
    my comp has been infected with those few files..sometimes NAV detect it as backdoor.trojan and offer to delete or quarantine it....however when i deleted it ...it will still come back
    what trojan virus is that? any way to delete it once and for all? thx

    Boot your computer in safe mode and then have norton delete them. Once they are loaded into memory, it is possible that they recreate themselves after norton deletes them.

    NAV sometimes fail to detect them...

    You could be in real trouble. I did a Google search on mssg.exe and have found it to be associated with CIH as well....I would go here and run a scan http://housecall.antivirus.com/ If you detect CIH STOP SCNNING and come back here and we'll help

    can u give me the link about the search u did?
    btw all the virus scanner doesnt seems to pick up the virus at all
    and it only pop up once a while...then NAV will ask me what to do with it
    thx a lot guys

    running on win98 and NAV version 2001
    still no CIH detected when i scan for virus using clean rescue CD and diskette
    symantec told me that it is a backdoor.trojan
    but couldnt scan any trojan out using almost all the existing trojan scanner outside

    On that MB, pornqueen had a mssg.exe problem. You might want to email her to find out exactly how she rid her computer of CIH.
    BTW, sometimes those porn applications are infected with JS.Exception.Exploit.
