Try using another virus scanner... Did you try housecall off the net?

    http://housecall.antivirus.com/

I assume you have only one file left somewhere that your AV spots but can't delete, right?
or did you downloaded Sub7 and can't delete it?

In any case, if you have the name of the file, locate it on your HD, make sure you have rights to delete it (not read only) and delete it!

Afterward, you can look for a registry cleanup tool in google and delete any reference to sub7 files in it...

On 5/1, Ryan started a thread in which he asked for the name of a Sub7 removal tool. Conf1rm3d_K1ll's answer was The Cleaner by Moosoft.

Yesterday, Ryan asked another question about a Sub7 removal tool. I posted The Cleaner by Moosoft, took my own advice, downloaded & ran the program.

I know that this computer is Sub7 free. Will Ryan post yet another message about a Sub7 removal tool?

    Am I missing something?

McAfee will not detect it. Command AntiVirus is detecting 3 infected files in C:\_RESTORE but cannot delete them. And again, I have system restore disabled. The Cleaner isn't good. I was infected with the bo2k trojan and it didn't detect anything.

Hand delete the files after booting from a boot disk since you have their location and names!

This will be my last attempt at helping you...

    HeyRyan:

Scorp666 suggested that you "Hand delete the files after booting from a boot disk since you have their location and names".
Are you familiar with the procedure used to find and delete specific files in DOS ?
Please do not take umbrage at this question.

very easy way to clean sub7 of your comp
create a new txt file - open it and hit return now save it as c:\input.exe
now in another txt file write format c: /<<c:\input.exe
save that txt file and change its extension to .bat and double click
there you go sub7 should be all gone >:-)

heh soz but from what i can gather it looks like everyone has tried their best to help u and you just won't listen - plus for someone who was dumb enough to infect themselves in the first place you sound just a lil too patronising/condascending to me :P

follow the advice given to you and if that fails try these links:

then maybe if you have learnt something come back here
    have a nice day
