Question Must Read: I just don't get it...

I had grill cheese today for lunch..... *Good Stuff*

    Answer me this.....
As I was sitting around while the stove heated up I had an urge to read the package of cheese. In the Nutritional Facts it says that there is a half cup of milk in a single peice of cheese..... How in gods name do you get a half cup of milk into a single peice of cheese????

It probably means either of two things:
    1. The cheese contains about the same nutrients as a half cup of milk
    2. Half a cup of milk was used in making the cheese
Or it could just be total marketing BS.

Yeah, it's probably concentrated milk. Or.. something. I'd go with number one, please.

Slightly off topic..but has anyone ever had warm powdered milk? Now THAT'S gross. I remember years ago at my grandma's she had a pitcher of powdered milk she hadn't chilled properly and all of us kids had a glass. To this day I fight nausea thinking about that.

They run the milk through WinZip before they install it in the cheese.

    Because:

1 oz. cheddar cheese contains 10.4 g. water
    1/2 c. whole milk (3.5% fat) contains 106.65 g. water
