The impossible objective, configuring LINUX
Allright fellas I've had the WORST time ever with linux so far, I can't seem to find anything worth reading on configuring a SBLIVE with REDHAT7.2, nothing, every help file I read gives me an invalid command, one that doesn't work or just doesn't explain anything right, can anyone out there please help me with this.
PS i know this is a security related site but the information I get from you guys is really good, so pls help!

I feel your pain, right now I'm trying to configure/secure my mandrake 8.1 install. Unfortunately most of the services aren't especially verbose as to what they do/how important they are. etc/services seem to be winning a length competition with "War and Peace"

If you are a Linux newbie it is best to buy distro's like Red Hat or SuSE because they come with full documentation to help you get started.
