EMINEM is threatening to "beat the ****" out of fans who have illegally uploaded his music onto the Internet.
No problem there his music sucks.
Guess he didn’t learn any thing from the whole metallica fiasco. You can’t take on your fans and win.

If artists are so worried about the people getting it on the internet and all, then why on Earth do they release "advanced copies" of their cds??? I just don't get it. If you don't want people listening to it, then release it to EVERYONE, including radio stations, on the same day. No breaches in the declaration, just release it all at once, then no one can complain and no one could lose money in the first place.

did u ppl know that (smaller) bands realy sell MORE CD's becouse of this whole P2P ****..
their stuff goes around, and if u like it enough you'd like 2 buy the CD (that's what I do)
It's just the big (established) bands that are over their HYPEs (like Metalica and nowadays Eminem) that r complaining, they suck, and so does their music, and once u have listened 2 it nobody wants 2 buy the real thing..
if ur music is good enough ppl WILL buy, if not... it will just be d/l'd
ASCII stupid question, get a stupid ANSI.

I don't care how much security any cd company puts on their cd's. If the music plays out to speakers from a stereo it can be copied. Maybe not with the same quality, but if the signal gets sent out to a speaker, it can be copied. End of story.

As much as Eminem pisses off people with his inflammatory remarks, he should be thankful anybody listens to his music -- regardless how they get it.

Eminem is being a little baby...
Like someone above said, don't want your stuff on the net, release everything at the same time....
Take for instance Iceberg.com They have countless radio stations on with clear feeds. All you need is a recording proggy to take the feed and compress it to a media file....
Same with people and radio cards in pcs...
Like someone wrote
If there's a will, there's a way

Side note:
The whole CD protection against rippers thing, some companies are trying to release music cd's in DVD format disks instead, since many pc's have yet gotten a DVD drive....

Even less people have CD players that can read a DVD.

but not many....
in any case, it's not like the mainstream of DVD drives is going to stop....
people are buying DVD drives now since it reads both and a DVD can store much more media....
Just look at the PS2 and Xbox, both running DVD

Hey all,
Just saw a commercial for the new Eminem cd release....
Dumb as hell....
They have a fat guy in back of a industrial building selling bootleg cd's from the "truck" of his van......
The cd's are all Eminem, and people are driving up to buy some, until a car full of black guys drive up and go to beat the guy up as he offers them some cd's....
Yo man, those things are ill.... bootlegs, man...
Whatever....
At the bottom of the screen, it sais the release date is moved to the 28 of may and that if you purchase his new cd on the 28th, you get a free special DVD... ! whoopie! :P
Pathetic or what...
hmm.... free cd, no dvd - purchase cd, free dvd.... - free cd, free dvd (kazaa!)
a few people will get suckered, the others will wait for someone to put it available on either kazaa or IRC
