Son of Cookie?
'Son of Cookie' - Anonymity's Worst Nightmare?
A Scottish company has just created a new web monitoring system. It's known as 'son of cookie', and will install files used to monitor your activity on your PC when you visit a web page.
Some features of the new system:
> can be individually customized for each web visitor.
> can block you from accessing certain Internet services.
> can be reconfigured remotely.
> is difficult to detect/delete.
> can search your PC.
It can even log your keyboard activity and Internet usage. Allthough they say users will be informed before any installation of the software, abuse is obviously not a topic. They hope "appropriate safeguards" will prevent any abuse.

Wonder how anonymous a surfer can be after this comes up?
