    Pre-formatted text in posts

As far as I know, there's no way to "preformat" text on the board (so as to maintain
spaces in non-proportoinally spaced fonts, for example).

As an example, my post in the following thread, with output from netstat, would
have been a lot easier if I could have used something like [PRE][/PRE] - using a
non-proportional font (FONT=courier new) only fixed some of the readability
    issues:

Ummm, You could use the code tag to preformat all your text....

    Code:
                      This is preformatted

    Use either the
    Code:
    code tag
, as Acid suggests, or if you are posting PHP code then use the
    PHP Code:
    $php PHP tags
    for syntax highlighting.

I'll forgive you this time, but if you want to fit in with this community, you'll hafta find a beverage with a higher concentration of caffeine.
I know you\'re out there. I can feel you now. I know that you\'re afraid. You\'re afraid of us. You\'re afraid of change. I don\'t know the future. I didn\'t come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it\'s going to begin. I\'m going to hang up this phone, and then I\'m going to show these people what you don\'t want them to see. I\'m going to show them a world without you, a world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you.

ROFL. And I just stopped drinking Mt. Dew at night to see if I'd be able to sleep any better. So far, I think I've been actually staying up later than I normally would... perhaps stress... maybe withdrawal... who knows? (certainly been waking up with headaches, though, after starting this practice)

    Greetings All:

Since this feature already exists, I'm closing the thread. Thanks.
