Hey All,
I tried using using what Tedob1 said but it only puts me from WinDOS window to full DOS mode (and I still have the 2" black borders...) as well as the suggestion from Kezil.....
Any other suggestions?

Just btw, in DOS you can also try using:
cd "program files"
rather than
cd progra~1
As for the screen... a huge border? I'm not sure what you mean. Try checking the properties of a shortcut to command.com (in this case, a .pif file) for options. (Right-click on your shortcut to command.com and select 'properties')
For instance, set Properties : Screen : Initial Screen Size to 50 lines, or Properties : Font to some small font type...

No, no... goos suggestion but wrong way to look it at....
Image running just DOS, ok? (Leave windows behind/out of this)....
Then image running Doom on your computer....
Then picture having Doom running in a "window", centered on your screen with a 2" border around it.......
