Could someone direct me to a firewall that I could get for free?
    And no I don't have OS X.

    Thanks.

I'm not a big Mac person, so maybe I'm not the best person to respond to this. But last time I checked "Mac" and "free" don't really go together.

It was kind of designed like that. But good luck anyway. Hope you suceed.

im not a big M$ person, so mabee in one of the best people to respond to this, last time a checked "MicroSoft" and "free" dont go together either....... see a trent?

you want a good firewall that runs on a mac? go get a copy of linux thats compiled for PPC arcitecture. i happen to like SuSE Linux quite a bit. i assure you, you get that running you wont be asking "where can i get a firewall?" itll probly be in a diferent thread under "how do i configure this firewall?"

sorry about it sounding cynical, its not really. just good luck

version tracker should have a firewall for mac that you can get....

I bootlegged a firewall, off limewire, norton firewal, its the only firewall available for macs os 9 or x that has good protection. Im not one to comment Symantic Products, but i think that Norton firewall is you're best bet and as far as free is concerned, boot leg it. use Limewire its the only mac p2p available at current and unlike the windows p2ps it doesent install garbage like spyware on you're system. And as far as you getting os X, i surely recommend it firewall or not OS X is very very stable and has 10 times more security issues fixed than the earlier os's.

I`d say go with OSX as well, as its built on UNIX perhaps you could make your own Socks based firewall on it? I`ve seen this on other UNIX's and it works well (and its free). If I recall correctly 'Building Internet Firewall' by E.D Zwicky, S.Cooper, has a chapter on this.
