The Portal Project was an idea by a couple of AO members to start a site where other sites of othere AO members where listed. Kinda like a club. A community. A "portal" to other sites. That was The Portal Project.

I suppose the good side to this is: the fewer people are interested, the easier it is to find something everyone agrees on and likes!

Well, i'm gonna have a personal site up soon. With similar ideas. Also an "organization" where webdesigners can report there site to become members. I'll post a message when it's up. Everyone is welcome to join.

I still think that if we're going to have a meeting that we should vote on a time to meet.....Like throw up a few possible times and let us have a choice in it. Work has been killing me lately with hours. (Which I need to pay the bills) I'm very much interested in this project, I'm not going to let it go under.

From the description I've heard, it doesn't sound like such a big deal.
All you need is a *small* PHP script which you can add URLs and descriptions to and then get JP to host that script.
Maybe I have the wrong end of the stick here, but it wouldn't take anything more than that...
