If you don’t have a machine capable to booting direct from CDROM, you will need to prepare a boot disk. Using a Windows or DOS machine, load the newly burnt CDROM into the drive. Look in the directory call /DOSUTILS off the root directory. You will find a program called RAWRITEWIN. This a small program that will write a Linux boot image onto a floppy for you. Once executed, it will ask you to locate the floppy image that you want to write onto the floppy. This image is in the directory /IMAGES called BOOT.IMG. Write this image to floppy and we’re ready.
