Rant: How do I hack Hotmail?

This is written in response to threads like these:
    http://www.antionline.com/showthread...hreadid=226665
    http://www.antionline.com/showthread...hreadid=228675

It still astonishes me how ofter the, "How do I hack (insert lame entity here)? question gets asked by newbies. It's the sheer ignorance of these questions that really gets to me. It's obvious that the people who ask this question have no concept of what hacking is or even what email is. This question is actually an insult.

Let's get this straight. Hacking is a state of mind. Hackers just love learning everything about everything about how things work. This is a broad definition but anything else would be missing the mark. Hacking is the quest for knowledge. How you use this knowledge is up to you.

Asking how to hack is like asking how to learn. Sorry but it's impossible to teach someone how to learn. Everybody learns differently. Most people learn how to learn during their preschool years and spend the rest of their lives refining this skill. Want to learn? Do it on your own. No one can do it for you.

Here's an exercise for you. Whenever you see the word, "hack", substitute it with the word, "learn". "How do I hack Hotmail?" becomes, "how do I learn Hotmail?" Now you're looking at it from the right point of view.

Let's get another thing straight. Hotmail is the name for an email service run by a company. There's no one way to hack an email service. Email services can be implemented in many different ways. If you know nothing about SMTP, POP, IMAP, MUA's, MTA's or any of the OS's that they run on, you don't know enough to even attempt "hacking hotmail".

If you don't know anything about the above, please **** off!

    Amen, Brother! Speak the Gospel!

It is true however. Even in chat we often get those users who come in and ask "How do I hack hotmail", "how do I..".. Now there truly isn't anything wrong with asking questions but before asking, ask yourself if you can do some research to find the answer. Google is a good place to start with.

In addition, before you ask a question like that can you answer the following:

    1. Do you know what TCP/IP is?

    2. Do you know what OS you are using?

    3. Do you know what each of those acronyms mean?

    4. Do you know how to read?

    5. Do you know how to comprehend?

If you can answer these questions, then you don't need to ask the question above then you have the intelligence to figure out what you need to do. If you answer no to more than 2 of those questions, get your original computer box, pack up your computer and send it back to the manufacturer. You are too stupid to use it.

So true. They ask how to hack hotmail without even understanding what hotmail is. The sad part is that they think that we can tell them how to hack hotmail in less than 10 words and get pissed when we tell them that there are many concepts that must be studied before you can even begin to understand what makes hotmail tick (OSI TCP.IP ect…).
Its not software piracy. I’m just making multiple off site backups.

The sad truth is, most of the newbies that ask this are just going to forget half of it and screw up the other half. I won't lie, I started out asking the "how do i hack yahoo/hotmail/aol/whatever" questions. (Although since then, I have wised up. I would like to thank people who write posts like this. One of them saved me.)
