    Post Contest

    Hello all. Ive been thinking about us having a little contest here on antionline. Just a friendly little competition. Simply put, best web site design by an AntiOnline member. First we need to get a list of all sites for people wishing to compete. Next we could set up an anonymous poll here and vote. If you are interested, just reply and post the url.

    woohooo!
    great idea!
    but..how about have JP or terr or some respected member of the AO community think of a topic/theme, then people design to that. That way everyone starts at the same time and it's fair.
    script language=\"M$cript\";
    function beginError(bsod) {
    return true; }
    onLoad.windows = beginError;

    IMHO For a fair judgement should it be several categories:

    For example:

    GROUP/CORPORATE
    1. Best design (normal html)
    2. Best design (flash, director o.d.)
    3. Speed and navigation*

    PERSONAL
    1. Best design (normal html)
    2. Best design (flash, director o.d.)
    3. Speed and navigation*

    We have some more or less professional webdesigners here and they would have a "unfair" advantage over us normal mortals if we did not have some kind of rules .

    * To build a web is not only to have a flashy layout.. The point: it's also good to choose a fast server for your needs.. Who want's to go to my site and wait for an hour before the pages loads from my slow server who is behind an even worse connection? .

    Tyger_claw, are you trying to tell me that you can write html with something other than notepad? I think you're just pulling my leg.

    w00t for ThePreacher! Awesome idea. Would it be okay to see if some famous web designers wanna come in and try it? We need photoshop contest, 3d studio max, 3d, 2d, all sorts. I can do that stuff, but im not the best, so im not gunna compete. We need to have a programming contest too. One of my best friends is good at graphics, maybe I could bring him here to compete, he took graphics and I took programming and security stuff.

    No, no, no... I said that I only use notepad to write my html files...

    but while we're on the subject, try using edit from DOS...

    c:\edit index.html

    *blue edit screen pops-up*
    <html>
    .....
    </html>

    alt+s
    alt+x

    c:\exit

    double click IE (yes, I know...)

    address: c:\index.html

    voila! (boy I need help.... pro help...)
